Dougal hands Rangers victory at Ibrox Print E-mail
Written by The Border Fhox

Celtic supporters were deprived of the change to judge the progress made under new manager Gordon Strachan on Saturday as the result of yet another biased and incompetent performance in an Old Firm game by someone who is allegedly one of the country's top referees.

Following his cosy chat with Ibrox's resident loonball Fernando Ricksen in the tunnel prior to the game which was caught on national television, the MITB then set about getting it right up Celtic from the kick off. First Hartson was booked for a run-of-the-mill Old Firm clash and then with only 20mins on the clock Alan Thompson was shown the red card for a reckless challenge on the half way line.

The Thompson challenge was poor, of that there can be no doubt, but for Dougal to decide it merited a straight red was quite unbelievable. That the Scottish media of all people are roundly condemning his hopeless performance in the Sunday tabloids tells you all you need to know.

The ordering off effectively killed any hope Celtic had of getting anything from the game - which was obviously Dougal's gameplan - and the huns eventually ran out 3-1 winners. Neil Lennon was ordered off on full-time for doing what any of the rest of us would have done had we been given half the chance - telling Dougal just what an utter fanny he really is.
