 Dunfermline 1 Celtic 2

Magic has now scored 7 goals in 3 visits to East End Park. Celtic extending their unbeaten run at East End Park, which stretches back 17 years now.

Strachan made a few changes from the midweek game at Copenhagen. Young O'Dea coming in for the injured McManus, Nakamura coming in for the disappointing Gravesen.

First half was very hard fought in pretty dreadful weather conditions, Dunfermline not averse to putting the boot in.

Highlights of the half were:-

Miller's (valid) effort which was ruled out for offside, and a glorious 50yd pass by young O'Dea (who looked very accomplished) to Nakamura on the right. Teams went in level at half time.

Second half Celtic started with the bit between their teeth, and McGeady opened the scoring with a trademark jink and curling finish into the far right corner. De Vries will be disappointed that he misjudged the bounce.

Celtic continued their domination, with some lovely bits of play in dreadful conditions especially from Nakamura. It looked only a matter of time before we got our 2nd. This proved to be the case on 68mins. Magic controlling a Lennon ball into the box, before swiveling and hammering a right foot drive into the net from 10 yds, for his 8th of the season,

With 15 mins left Gravesen and Riordain came on for Jarosik and Nakamura. Dunfermline grabbed a consolation with the last kick of the game, Simmons a former Celtic youth grabbing a scrambled goal.

Lennon and McGeady squared up to each other as the match ended, epitomizing the desire to succeed in this Celtic side. Giving the media something to talk about as well.

Bring on the Rangers!!!

Boruc 6 Not a lot to do.

Wilson 7 Decent game, gives us a lot more than Telfer going forward.

Naylor 8 This was another great performance from the Englishman, surely our player of year so far.

Balde 6 Not a lot to do, probably deserves 10 for flooring Wilson.

O’Dea 7 Great SPL debut for the young Irishman, looked very composed, dangerous at set plays, and had a sublime 50yd pass ala Alan Stubbs in the first half. Strachan thought he was excellent and so did I.

McGeady 7 Showed some lovely touches in adverse weather conditions for a winger, did well for the goal.

Nakamura 7 He is a having a very good season, these are the kind of games we complained he would hide in last season, not so this year.

Lennon 7 Kept the ball flowing and covered for the fullbacks as they got forward. Squared up to Boruc and McGeady at the end.

Jarosik 6 finding it hard to settle in Scotland, but did ok today.

Magic 6 Didn’t do much and then scored, will settle for that each week.

Miller 7 Had a goal chalked off incorrectly and tried very hard all game.
